Since my first detox in October 2014, I have lost 35 lbs. I have a better understanding of how to use fresh vegetables and fruits, and from Mia’s guidance (lol, and patience), I use my Ninja almost every day, to make unbelievable smoothies, dressings and soups. I loved our daily chats. In fact I left work early everyday to get to my kitchen, open up our Facebook detox pg, cook and learn new recipes. I'm really a terrible cook and up until the detox I barely knew where the pots and pans were kept. Now I am learning everything and I'm loving it.

I wanted to share some reactions I am having to this incredible experience. Yes, I have lost weight, and I cannot deny that has been highly motivating. But I am also amazed to feel differently on a moment-to-moment basis. It seems like I am sleeping heavier, deeper. I am less irritable: my mood is both more pleasant and more constant. I feel more energetic. There is a spring in my step that wasn't there before. It's sort of a combination of emotional and physical lightness. And of course there is the empowering feeling of self-efficacy that comes from taking charge of my health like this, taking care of myself, knowing what to do (thanks to a certain leader extraordinaire), and being able to stick to it (which, I will add, I would NEVER be able to do without the ability to eat RAW CACAO). One thing I had heard some people say they got as a benefit from a cleanse is their skin clearing up--and in my case, I haven't really noticed any change in my complexion. But that's just another part of learning about my body and how it works. Overall, I am just amazed at how transformative this has been. I really do want cheese, a bagel, and a Cadbury Creme Egg, but I can't argue with how good I feel. Hope you all are having similar growth, improvement, and success! We are almost there!

I've been reflecting on this week and trying to put into words what an enormous change this program has made in my life. I'm not one for scales so, I can't quantify my results. I can share, however, that I was at my wit's end just before we started. I had just confessed to some friends that I was frightened and didn't know what to do to get ahold of myself. Would I constantly be hungry and tired? Had I become a com- pulsive eater? Would I forever fantasize about eating, and not just a taste of something special, no, overindulgence? I thought I should feel so much better after having quit sugar October 2018, but I was still struggling. I had looked into the cost of the most effective retreats and was willing to spend the mon- ey if I could find the time. But, it turned out the answer was much simpler. Mia, the recipes, practices, and coaching you offer changed my life. I cannot thank you enough. The shift has been phenomenal. I decide when and what to eat, and I make good choices. I'm not constantly hungry. I have plenty of ener- gy. My movement seems easier and more graceful. I'm even thinking more clearly and positively. I'm mo- tivated in other ways, too. What an absolute blessing this has been. Love and gratitude to you, dear Mia. I hope everyone had a similar experience.

OMG, I weigh myself EVERY day. Last detox I lost a total of 5.5lbs, gained back 2, but now I'm down .5 after day one. LOVE that I see this progress. It makes me feel so strong to look at some sugary treat and not cave.

Excellent recipe Mia! They turned out delicious, I love the flavors and the bit of heat! But...I might have had too much liquid or oil, they were very soft. Even when well done. They were very 'light'. I wanted to eat the entire batch!! Is this right?

And I feel a noticeable difference in my neck and hips and shoulders -- which I assume must be decreased inflammation. Could you please share some of your recommendations for healthy food choices that you add into your non-detox days? I remember you mentioned Ezekiel, soba buckwheat noodles and black rice. 🙂 Also I remember reading a post I think about some sort of Hemp Berry Cereal. I don't know about that. What brand is it, etc? Are there any other foods that you find nutritious and good choices in general but not necessarily for detox/weight loss -- just for weight maintenance and overall good health? Thanks!

I am feeling really good on so many levels. I feel so energized, and I am committed to making this a lifestyle change beyond the 10 day detox. Taking time to take care of myself is new and wonderful. I en- joy learning the new combination of foods, particularly the numerous breakfast options. I was in an eat- ing rut, and find myself surprised that I am satiated. I am losing weight, particularly in the muffin top area. Some have mentioned to me that my skin looks great. I have seen the change too. My daughter remarked that my hair looks fuller. You had a sweet Italian grandma

to help you shop and cook, only she was actually hip and witty, and she gave you a shopping list that sent you down aisles you don’t actually go, and every time you checked Facebook, there were supportive friends chatting and sharing tips and recipes, and it was fine to eat chocolate, and every time you made a recipe, it took no time at all and instead of feeling like a diet, it felt like you went to culinary school, and that hip not-grandma virtually tucked you in every night with words of encouragement, and then you realize you feel 100% more alive than you felt before, and you get on the scale and you are 5 lbs lighter?
